They all dim when you close the door. I don't get what you mean by the light brightens when you open the door? Does the light turn on straight away or it takes a while to get bright?

It sounds normal to me.

About 10 seconds. I will look at a wiring diagram and see what I can find. It could be high resistance across your door switch or the control module.

Also interior light has three settings, "Off", "On", "Door", make sure it's only set to "Door" and not "on" all the time...

If at "On" it may not be full brightness as it may have not so good of a ground, when the door open it brightens as the door allows a better flow of electricity.

Replace the globe/s or LEDs and while your there take the whole unit out of the roof. While out make sure all the contacts are fine.

- Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of it and then re-insert it. You could quickly clean the contacts it plugs into.

Taking it out is easy. Gently pry the clear plastic off. Inside is 2 screws - remove. It'll drop down. Unclip it. Clean contact points and replace globes.

Clip together and test.

2-5 minutes.

^^^^ That would help if it didn't work at all. The light does come on so that proves the circuit is working and the contacts will be clean. If the contacts were dirty then you would have no light at all

Hope this helps does it turn off once the car is started or the key is in.

I still believe its the entry control unit

There will a constant 12v on one side of the globe and the control unit will supply the other side with a negative via the doors which has to go through the C/U
