Doh - my bad, I should read more thoroughly

Went through this issue recently in my 34. Did the above and resolved.

My thought about why in my case was in proper grounding at the lamp itself.

The rest was just maintenance and clean up while I was resolving.

The light stays on when i start the car up there must be a constant power supply !
