riobond
Hi guys,Recently I've been thinking, if I buy a Nissan Skyline R34 25GT 2-door coupe in Melbourne, and wanted to upgrade the engine to RB26DETT, I'm sure it's POSSIBLE but I just need some connections and someone who knows how to do it and can actually do it. Money isn't a problem. How should I start? Does anybody know who I should go to and where? Details would be wonderful, please. Thank you. Cheers,Rio Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/430140-gt-r-engine-in-gt/ Share on other sites
iplen
Assuming there is a difference between money not being an issue and pointlessly burning money for no reason, just buy a GTR. Yes it is possible, but it will cost you more and still get you less car. iseekool
Yep. You end up missing out on all the goodies the stock GTR has. Best to buy a GTR straight up or I'd start with a GTt as a base car. Apparenlty there isn't much difference performance wise between an RB25DET NEO and and RB26DETT. ...but if you pick up an RB26 you will need a different oil sump and trans. There is a thread somewhee on these forums where someon has done it. But too much work and cost IMHO.
