This must be with the Motec system and a stand alone fuel management system?

t4 turbo dominic, direct port nitrous injection

saw a 20 dyno plot making 370kw, it's gonna need 100,000 clutch kicks to rip a skid too

It can be done, it just depends on how much of the RB20 you want use

If want want the use 20 piston rods crank block and head then no your shit outta luck

But if your happy to swap them for say 30 block crank pistons and rods and a 26 head then yeah 1100 hp from a RB20 is easy done

OP, have you considered swapping to an RB25/RB26?

Why not swap to an RB25/RB26?

RB25/RB26 would be better at these power levels. I think you should do it. I hope I was able to suggest this to you before you went ahead with the RB20, because RB25/RB26 are better. At these power levels.

Or buy an R32 GTR.

In all seriousness we are talking 1000hp... I believe that to be a power figure that requires an experienced engine builder to produce an engine. That being said I also do not think it matters what modern engine you start with... To get it to 1000hp would probably be a similar amount of work regardless.

Therefore OP should take his RB20 to an experienced engine builder and ask them to produce a 1000hp engine capable of over 10,000rpm. Then OP will simply need the manifolds and a turbo to suit.

$100,000.00 later and it will rip good skids.

So all parts rebuild even the sleeves?

I am looking at 50,000$ AUD for this build. I guess Aussie is more expensive than here?

5 fuel pumps

swirl pot

Fuel pressure reg.

Better make it 7 fuel pumps. Just to be safe. Maybe 8. You can never have too many fuel pumps. If you run enough fuel pumps, you won't need the fuel pressure reg. They'll regulate each other. Like a team.

If you are pushing this much power, I'd suggest making sure your panel gaps are exactly factory spec. Talk to this guy, he can help. Can't recommend him enough for gap talk

You'll need a more sizeable budget to achieve your very rigid specific goal.

Ask them for a quote, prepare by sitting down.

In terms of your request, it is an unknown and defies logic on many levels, hence your replies.

We do get a lot of entertaining ideas but a lot are from school kids with nothing better to do, in this case you asked a question and got many answers! None of which are useful but we hope you enjoyed your stay and got some entertainment from it!

Been quoted already at the cnc shop for these and they said 30K Euro for all this spec.

100K is a bit crazy because that would a 1000hp R35 GTR go here for all the parts.

Anyway different country diffrent pricing.

What are you trying to achieve? I mean as in WHY are you spending so much on the 2L engine?

Highest hp on a rb20det. Builder agreed with me that I need all cnc parts.

now calculate redability of parts, shipping costs, real currency value you are pushing it to the very least $120k AUD.

      This was a huge help.  We followed the steps,  although shifting into 2nd was actually into 3rd for us,  and 1st was into 2nd ( steps 9 and 11) .  The long flash was the 4th flash.  So shift solenoid A is possibly the culprit.  Is this inside the transmission itself? Or is it accessible by just front the pan? Or is it bolted to the outside of the transmission?  Thanos for your help everyone

      I have some silicon hoses already, for example engine to watercooler. But yeah, I get the sentiment. The lower intercooler silicon hose is drippy too, despite not being very old. Does anyone except Nismo make these same lines out of rubber? Long term I think they'd be the better replacement, especially since the car won't live as hard a life anymore as in the past nor be driven as often.

      I know most issues are just age related. But for example the turbo oil drains, there is dash adapters for these and you can just make a braided teflon line for them and (probably) never have them leak again. Also not terribly expensive. Can you even get the factory hardlines from new? Or are they repairable if they break?

      I know it'd be much much easier with the tool. I hope I can find one that won't take 3 weeks to get to me an isn't a "Asian models kit" that has tons of (to me) useless adapters for a load of cash.   It's a summer project/fun car. I do wanna enjoy it, without endless downtime over and over. So yeah I would even go and buy an engine crane + stand to save myself the trouble of hard to reach or unreachable places going bad later on. Would also be a good opportunity to put on a Fluidamper, renew the mains seals and stuff like that. I have some money on the side that I can use for that, what I wouldn't want to or be able to do is let everything be done by a shop or have my engine completely rebuild right now. I intend to do most of the "doable" jobs myself. Pulling an engine can't be that hard, can it?
