Maybe, but my mate at nissan said they do it from factory and said hell look into it because hes never seen n1 stamped on a block either without it being the genuine thing. We also weight this thing at thr machine shop and it came in 8.4kg heavier then the other rb30 blocks i have???

Manufacturers often use the "same code" to mean completely different things on different engines. Given that the RB30 and the RB26 are in fact completely different engines (from Nissan's point of view) I wouldn't be surprised to find that it means nothing in particular* at all.

* Nothing interesting, anyway.
