btw when you say you have to push it uphill to clutch start it, is that because your house is right at the bottom of a hill? because you can clutch start in reverse too. If you are careful (clutch and brake as soon as it fires) you can even do it in your driveway, it only takes a couple of klm/h to start a car.

ecutalk should show most of your ecu values and voltages on a PC which can help with spotting a dodgy sensor like an AFM or TPS (by voltage) or even CAS (by seeing fluctuating voltages)

Haha i use to reverse roll start my car down the driveway for two months. (not the skyline) Edited by Pattey21

Finishing work late all this week. (Forced Overtime) KARNT$$$

I'll be home by 5pm. Praps I can just come by and Help ya!

Yes Laptop.

If you have the time Rob :)

Working late? lol I don't finish until about 5:30 so that works out perfectly fine.

Does your 33 have the ignitor on top of the cam cover?

Haha nah nothing in the intercooler pipe.

Drove it to and from work as well for the week.

Tried all different things Zeb such as pumping the gas, light pedal etc.

If you both have the time to come over then I would love the help.

Rob, the ECU talk would be a great help (I have never used one though)

And Zeb your wise mind would be great as well.

If I could find an ignitor then that would be perfect.

Yeah man, no Problem. Txt or PM your addy. I'll be there.

Is your car on the street? Will it be safe? Uphill to get to your carpark?

If flatish, I've seen an RX7 reversed using just the starter motor. NOT IDEAL!

But if your stuck on a train track and the train is coming, it might just get you out of trouble.

Maybe get an ignitor off brennan or surely someone on here in act must have a s1 r33. Hopefully ecu talk is fine with the daughterboard and can diagnose but if not researching correct operating voltages for all the sensors would be handy when the guys come around tomorrow or if your lucky get somone with a s1 to use as a "rough" reference.

then its just a process of elimination. good luck with it buddy

This all sounds familiar........

Im sure this happened to me once.

Just have to remember what it was.

>_<

Trying..... hang on

>_<

Itll come to me....

I think the ignitor wasnt earthed or the wiring up there was fked, coilpack harness earth, shorts etc

Also had the idle circuit do that, the ac valve or something, that thing bolted to the inlet manifold.

Another time i lost a hoseclamp on the pipes and it died as soon as boost pressure popped it off.

Hope it helps, good luck.

might sound silly, just double check the CAS is plugged in and hasnt come loose.

Not sure what you've tried in the last 4 f**ken pages lol, ain't no way I cbf reading this first up on a Monday - but as above, have you checked the CAS at all? It's just as unlikely as any other part you haven't touched recently coincidentally failing, but it fits the symptoms (battery fine, car started fine, ran for a bit then died, now won't start).

I assume you've gone over fuses by now?

It's still possible that you've had a run of bad luck and damaged the wiring for one of the plugs when you unplugged it or when plugging back in. When you've got another person to help you, have them crank the engine over (*try* to start it) while you fiddle with the plugs/wires - see if anything happens while you're wriggling them around.

I agree with Richard, It sounds like either spark or fuel. Pull a fuel line off and let it prime as fuel should spill out of the line. If it does that means you are getting fuel. If you are getting fuel and you have spark do a compression test. Fuel+spark an engine should start even if it runs like shit. No compression=no start.

oh also how many times have you tried to start it? You are risking flooding the engine. If you have tried to start it quite a few times get a battery charger/new battery as that will kill the battery very quickly.
