Hey guys :action-smiley-069:, after seeing all these EPA blitzes around Melbourne I think it's time I take the cannon off as it's just far too loud. I have another cat-back sitting in the shed but the problem is that though it's all nice and stock, the tip is one of those pea-shooter types so it looks sooo crap. So, I was wondering whether it's possible to cut a section where the tip is and weld on a chrome twin tip? If so, would anyone be able to help me out or know someone reliable who could do the job? I'm in the south-east suburbs (Rowville) and am willing to pay!

Cheers!

Abz

The only issue with old stainless systems is they need to be cleaned very well internally before welding, as carbon will contaminate the weld. Mild systems are even worse as you have rust to deal with.

For a cheap job any exhaust joint can mig a tip on it for you, if you have any issues finding someone reliable though, or you want a better quality job you can try dropping me a PM to see if i'm free sometime...

yeah meng I had that same set up as you, just kept a epa friendly pea shooter in the shed (looked so crap) but my cannon (kakimoto racing zorst) was just far too loud at 112db. :( this one looks clean and sounds good too and doesn't hurt my ears. ^^

Glad you're happy Abz, I was actually surprised how quiet the system ended up being, for two straight 3 inch mufflers. That should keep you out of trouble with the epa, if the rumors are true they will be cracking down in December with mobile detection setups.

Got my zorst done. :D Many thanks again to #scotty nm35 great quality work! Oh and that NM35 is a bloody rocket, my head's still spinning :P
