Gta51
Hi guys In the process if changing bits n pieces on my car for more power, Im aiming for the 340-360 rwkw mark on e85. Would that be enough for me to get a 10 sec pass in a manual 33 gtst ? Im assuming the mph would be enough! zebra
the power will get you there. but will need work with the suspension to get you there consistantly Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431018-10-second-gtst/#findComment-6993748 Share on other sites

GTSBoy
Getting below 11 sec in an R33 is more about tyres and rear suspension equipment than it is about power. R31Nismoid
With 360rwkw, sticky tyres... a 10.90-10.99 is certainly on the cards if you can drive. Usual stuff like a working diff, clutch, suspension, tyres all required. Gta51
Thanks for the replies Only reason I want a 10 is its more of a long term benchmark I can work toward I guess, it's well setup up engine and suspension wise so only thing I need is some et streets. If I recall the car in OP's avatar, it already have some goodies from previous owner. Turbo is ext gated GTX3076 from memory. What are you changing out of interest? ^^ correct it's got alot of goodies on it when I bought it.Car has arp studs, new headgasket, Npc 10inch carbotic clutch, either 1000cc or 1200cc injectors soon and a new tuner! jet_r31
leave suspension or put stock shit in..buy slicks and frontrunners..., don't fit drag radials, even though its trendy unless you wish to break a lot of shit. cheers darren Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431018-10-second-gtst/#findComment-6994052 Share on other sites
zebra
Why would you break stuff with radials and not slicks? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431018-10-second-gtst/#findComment-6994065 Share on other sites
jet_r31
slicks absorb f**kload more shock due to softer sidewalls, radials absorb f**kall=bang go driveshafts/unis/gearbox Autos will get away with it far easier as they don';t "hit" the tyre as hard you can also pedal a car on slicks easier , radials when they let go are heaps harder to recatch/re-grap slicks as you start backing off you can feel them regrap People here are slow to catch on as radials are trendy to have, but they are a expensive way to go drag racing..and slower.. cheers darren Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431018-10-second-gtst/#findComment-6994107 Share on other sites
