Just got a new set of Bridgestone Potenza RE002's fitted for my R33 GTR from Firestone.

I went to another tyre shop yesterday and the guy said to me to take the car back to Firestone as it appears that my wheels are "counter balanced" I had a look and it appears that the old weights are still on some of the wheels with new weights as well on them.

Is this an issue?

I spoke with someone else and they said it shouldn't be an issue.

Go get it corrected as weights it two positions may cause the wheel to rotate unevenly causing poor tread loss on certain areas. Its not a major issue short term but u may as well get it fixed. But as to the answer of your question no its not a huge problem.
