I think that banning paid memvers of a club without a review is a sure fire way to loose members. Not to mention a irl clip up the ear for being a kittle bit power mad. Admin or not moderators are there to moderate and admins are to keep the site running offically. A site admin should not have mod powers over the area he is an exec for

I could not agree with this any more then I am now.

the forums are independent of the clubs. The clubs are dependent on the forums.

Who funds the site?

Is it providwd out of the admins pockets? If so let them go nuts as they own it.

If it is paid for out of any club's coffers then the members of contributing clubs shoukd have the right to vote on and appeal a ban.

Perhaps this is something all the clubs should discuss together.

I know I am opinionated but everyone will get over it, I would like to think that we are all adults and a system can be put in place that serves all members regardless of state.

A forum ban is not permanent. It's a few days holiday from the forum - anyone who can't live with that has some serious issues.

Perma bans do get handed out from time to time but with a bit more thought behind them and they are always thoroughly deserved...

We don't pay a cent out of the club coffers to have our forums hosted here

If a paid member were to get perma banned and the club thought it was unfair, we would definitely take it up with the forum admins

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that any funds raised by members are to remain with that club for the benefit of the club and its members.

I have no idea on cost of owning / maintaining website forum but this should not be funded by any club membership dues.

I feel for you.. Imagine that feeling once you get behind the wheel

yeah. thats what I keep telling myself everyday. Im just hangin for that phone call..............."Antz your car is ready to go mate"

what a dream

    • Depends how low and tyre size. Should fit with natural camber, skinny tyres and rolled guards.
    • Hi guys, planning to get 18x9 +25 in fronts and 18x10 +25 in rears been reading the whole thread and cant really find anything   Anyone know if these will fit a r34 gtt with no scrubbing or guard work needed?
    • They usually get made by hand as part of any such swap.
    • Was planning on getting an R35 MAF and the adapter, should this be okay? Also any idea where I could get my hands on an intake pipe?
    • I mean yes, if you're starting from scratch on an unknown engine yes you don't need to be doing all kinds of math in the background but if you're doing relatively minor changes like AFM + injectors + boost up with some aftermarket turbos it takes quite a bit of math if you want to do something like maintain OEM fuel + timing tables but compressed and then a bit more load scale up top. I think I've spent too much time working on big engineering nightmares though so I'm a big fan of trying to constrain the scope of whatever work I'm doing as much as possible and trying to get it right before moving on. For example, a local owner just did the usual E85 + single turbo conversion to his R32 GTR and nearly burned his car to the ground doing some spirited driving up the local mountains. Turbine is unshielded and too close to the hood insulation. It's tough to balance "just get the project done" and "seemingly small details can cause massive setbacks I'm not willing to deal with".
