Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

I'm a fan of do it right do it once... But what is right for me o do not know.

Braided lines, new rotors and good pads would likely be up to weekend drives and occasional track work. You need to decide your budget then go from there. If you are happy to spend 4k you can't go wrong with the high end stuff. But much lower spending will also get you results.

I have never met one more angst filled about mods! Lol

Work had for my money, don't want to waste it.

Haven't had a good run of luck with stuff for the car so far either, hence making double sure before I buy anything else.

Pads and braided lines won't make up for the 32 Sumitomos though i don't think, so i'd say i'd need to get something bigger for sure.

So, for research's sake, which companies make good quality brake kits, and which should one stay away from?

Right

So all those people who have D2/G4/K Sport brakes on their cars and say they are good are talking out their ass then?

In a word... yes.

Placebo is a wonderful thing. It makes justifying paying 2k for china crap easy ;)

Are they an upgrade over stock? Sure. Most kits are.

I would go brembo, ap racing, stoptech or something else that comes oem on something that's bigger.

Go with something made by a company that actually makes brakes and have put in the r n d. You get more for your money imo.

Pro tip. A GTR is wasting money at its best!

Splimer ran refreshed stock brakes with no trouble at 296 awkw for years.

AP and Alcon seem to be the top teir. Then probably Brembo and the like. Project Mu is well regarded.

If it was my money I would be checking out those Akebonos that Mike posted 355 is a nice size without going overboard.

This is great value imo. Sure it isnt big name brand, but oem gear quality and big.

And inconspicuous.

Would buy this over d2 etc every time

then don't go for cheap shit Pete.

Get a big brake kit like Brembo F50 with 380mm rotors or Alcon or Endless or Project Mu

Oh I also forgot AP and Willwood

and make it worth it

Have you moved completely to xero in house?

nah mate. Setting up a client on cloud with MYOB accoutright live and also fix up their data which back in the stone ages (few entities involved)

Will get the app for them too

And all bank feeds now ready

34 turbo acquired for my highflow, does this look like it's been modified to anyone? I was under the impression the compression wheel on 34's was nylon not steel.

The fins on the turbine look like the stock design and the rear certainly doesn't look milled out. I would say it is as it left the factory.
