Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

I'm leaning towards the 33. So all I need to do now is save $20,000 and part the SS out for go fast bits money.

honestly should you do it, just fix the rust in boot of SS and get rid of it in one go.

No point having a carcass lying doing nothing

Then save and buy what you want

Plus the issue of it having no compliance or build plate and the paint being in average nick. Also I think you underestimate the extent of the rust...

Highflo, injectors pump tune etc, is what, 5K?

GTR is 20K, boost T and its making probably 30-50kw less, but has AWD, (more weight) and suspension will be stock, not adjustable. and for 20K you're not getting a pristine one unfortunately. Parts don't break any more than a GTS-t will, but when they do more money potentially, and upgrades do aswell. Twice the turbos, twice the diffs, etc.

End of the day look at how much your saving and how quickly, and if you're prepared to get a loan to get one.

Or, do HA and instrumentation courses and come work out here for pornstar money.

I know, this is why I'm not sure what I want. Would be starting from scratch again.

Yeah, dunno about the lifestyle tho :P

I was in the same dilemma, though i wasn't as far along with my old car at that stage. In the end though I figured everything i was doing I would just have to do again, so i traded up.

Buy this one? link

I know, I haven't really spent that much on mine yet.

If I had the money right now :P Perhaps I should go do $6,000 worth of courses and join you in butt f**k nowhere.

Its an interesting life for sure. Also, unfortunately, the work is starting to wrap up on this project at least, so there's no guarantee even if you do do the courses i'm afraid, pretty much every industry is like that now though.

But yeah (for the tradies), 10 hour days, work 20 days straight, travel, 6 days off, travel, work 20 days straight, repeat. Stay in camps literally in the middle of nowhere, but at least the rooms are decent, food is buffet, gym on site and the like. But yeah it gets lonely, you do get days off during the week to make up for it but most people are working on those days, which is good for going on drives or getting stuff done but not for keeping in touch with folks really. Honestly don't know how people with kids do it, but the financial rewards must be a good part of it.

all I hear is excuses :P

GTR for those who like parking them in garaghes...or rebuilding 26's

stick with the GTST for track car imo......having said that, a 33 GTR would be gorgeous. the one that Pete linked is f**king swoit

good evening all, house keys on monday!!

getting a double garage floor paint kit thingy from Bunnings straight away and painting the floor up before loading everything in :)

new house keys needs a GTR for that new garage

    • I believe there was a similar one posted by @duggyphresh. They were re-routing their battery positive cable in the way I am also trying to achieve. Sorry, I’m new to this forum, so was a bit late to the party by a few months and so reignited the old thread, as I wanted to know how they got on with doing it.
    • Wasn't there a thread on this very subject just a few weeks ago?
    • Hi all! Looking to relocate the battery to the trunk of an R34 GTT. I want to do it using as many stock GTR components as I can (including the harness protectors from the 34 GTR that run underneath along the chassis to the engine bay). So far I’ve purchased the battery tray from a 33 GTR, as the captive weld nuts are already there just asking to be used. There is also the slight issue of now having to relocate the ABS/TC/Fuel Pump Control ECU, which in GTT’s sits right above where the battery will then sit on the tray. Has anyone already achieved this, and if you have any pics that you wouldn’t mind sharing? It would be great to see how others have done it and where you put them, as there are countless holes in the parcel shelf panel to potentially use. Just trying to get some ideas bounced around, and to help uncover any potential problems I may encounter by  my choice of location. TIA for any help!
    • Brand was ard.   I also threw a brand new battery at it and beefed up the wire from the alternator to battery and added an extra earthing point from the battery
