really really dumb legislation right there.

Registration requires the vehicle to be in roadworthy condition. Obviously this should only apply to cars being DRIVEN but the 5-0 have gone after trailord cars in the past.

If the car is registered, it has to be in roadworthy condition. Even on private property. Although this does change because on private property you can claim that the car is being worked on hence it's unroadworthy condition.

Speaking of roadworthy cars, the big boss wants to sell his S2000. Had it since new in 1999 and has only just ticked over 100k km. 100% genuine KMs and really good nick. Has been loved and cared for, the only thing that may need work is the driver's seat which has a few rips from the sun. Full leather, great car and excellent condition. Looking at roughly $30k. I'm posting this here as I can't really advertise something that isn't my property.

Has been loved and cared for, the only thing that may need work is the driver's seat which has a few rips from the sun. Full leather, great car and excellent condition. Looking at roughly $30k. I'm posting this here as I can't really advertise something that isn't my property.

Tell him to advertise it on carsales.com.au. probably get more interests than on here.

Redbook says $20k as an upper limit. Going off what's up for sale on car sales I'd say $23-25k tops. $30k will get you one with less than 60K on the clock. Around 150K going for high teens.

What if the car on the trailer is a road registered car?

it doesnt matter here, you arent using the car on the road, its on a trailer/flatbed and not on the road, if they ask you to take the car off the trailer (which you dont have to do) as soon as its on the road its defectable.

the same logic you are using for the car being at your house can be used for the trailer/flat bed.

i would double check the laws there, you can modify it to take it to a track day which makes it non road worthy hence the use of a trailer to take it there, that doesnt mean you are going to drive it on the road in the same condition.

There's a few up there for around $30k with roughly the same number of Kms... He's not really motivated to sell. If someone comes across and offers $25k, he's 50:50 at $30k it's gone.

The ones for higher money around th3 100k mark are much newer. People do take that into account when buying.

Sad Zeke is sad, got new cat convertor today but they forgot the gaskets so now gotta wait for the gaskets to arrive to change my cat T^T I got so excited when I saw the parcel in ny driveway.

can't recall is 3 or 3 1/2" flange, they're gonna sen me out a set though but gotta come from vic and cat was posted either mon arvo or tuesday and just arrived today.

      If you go 2.8, you're going to want bigger turbos. Scratch that. If you go 2.8, you're going to want one single larger turbo.

      Definitely the stroker kit. once you mention you have a RB28 everyone will assume you will flog them and hopefully won't start asking about support mods. Anyone will be too scared to race you, except maybe the RB30 boys

      Just a quick update: I decided to go ahead with the de-cat for now. The exhaust shop inspected the catalytic converter and said it was in good condition. I took a look myself, and it does not appear broken nor clogged. After the de-cat, the car feels more responsive and smoother. The shop also reinstalled the exhaust temperature sensor into the de-cat pipe, and now the warning light no longer comes on, even when driving hard. The only thing that’s bugging me is the tinny, “can-like” sound the exhaust makes now (similar to having a hole in the muffler). The shop suggested that I might need to replace the muffler. I'll have to think on what to do next.

      I want to start upgrading but don't have the budget to drop 15k at once, if i was to do one first which would be better and why?

      Yuh. It is very rare for a single turbo to throw ceramic into the engine. Quite common on GTRs. As I posted above. Mine did destroy the O2 sensor on the way out though! Plastic compressor is fine with the temperature. It's not some flimsy PE/PET/PP thermoplastic. It's a thermoset resin with reinforcing material in it (a composite, as posted by @Lithium above). The compressor never sees much more than 100°C because it's never boosting very high. If you boost it high enough to make a lot of temperature, then the turbine will depart the scene and stop the party anyway.
