Mugabetown - Whoretownin' At It's Worst.

Recommended Posts

Good morning Tony.

In well. Weather looks a bit wet but I don't care because it's Friday :)

Friday is good. Had to put out some ant sand this morning and was nearing the bottom of the tin and it was all really dusty. Think I inhaled a fair amount. Feeling really seedy....

In other news, Z club are looking at organising a sunny coast hinterland run if anyone's interested. Few of them may even come to our happy laps.

Suck it up princesses! :P

We have a HTFU stamp at work that gets handed out on a daily basis

although associated, you're interpretation of our posts is incorrect Mike_Le_Magician.

I am also on salary and do quite long days

And travel sometimes - like Cloncurry next week :(

;)

Just like many others here, I have know doubt you are a dedicated worker Mike.

Have to go where the work is theses days.

It's the 'putting up with stupid people' tax lol

I wish I got paid extra for dealing with dumbf**k customers. Do they not realise that:

A. Being a flamin mongrel won't make a mushroom pie appear if there are none

B. Being a flamin mongrel will put me in a bad mood and I will treat you accordingly

    • As somebody who works in the energy sector and lives in a subzero climate, i'm convinced EV's will never be the bulk of our transport.  EV battery and vehicle companies over here have been going bankrupt on a weekly basis the last year.
    • With all the rust on those R32s, how can it even support all the extra weight requirements. Probably end up handling as well as a 1990s Ford Falcon Taxi.
    • Yes...but look at the numbers. There is a tiny tiny fraction of the number of Joules available, compared to what is used/needed. Just because things are "possible" doesn't make them meaningful.
    • Thanks for taking the time to post that ! If anything changes or happens please do update us.
    • Somehow Vertimass/Oak Ridge National Labs has figured out a catalyst that can convert ethanol into C9-C10 hydrocarbons in basically a single step without ending up with a bunch of ethylene or similar waste products: https://patents.google.com/patent/WO2023224867A1/en I still don't think anything like this will keep us from needing to transition to EVs regardless along with all kinds of other electrification, but things like this will go a long way towards alleviating the problem of how to electrify things like planes. Renewable diesel is seemingly an easier problem as well, Chevron is already running refineries for the stuff and the primary feedstock is tallow and other waste fats from agriculture.
