Abs Light?

Hi All,

R33 S2

I've had my ABS light on for a few years now and whilst did try and diagnose the issue I suspect its a faulty abs pump.

It's never bothered me but this year they have picked it up on my rego check!!

Does anyone know of an easy way to disable the light without me waiting for a replacement abs pump??

Pull the cluster out and remove the bulb.

But it's a good idea to get the ABS working.

I had the exact same problem 2 weeks ago for my rego and the mechanic couldnt get a cheap pump anywhere so i looked at the solenoids attached to the abs unit. It was $90 all up and it solved the problem the pump was fine. Im glad i looked at the relay when i did mine it was alot cheaper than replacing a perfectly fine abs pump!

it's not the pump, just replace the relays on the pump...

I went to a wrecking yard and picked it up for $30, they always die on R33s..

if you have a proper solder vacuum you should be able to desolder them and replace them with relayed from JayCar... I tried with a normal soldering iron and desolder hand pump.. that failed.. so I just bought a used relay box.

3x plugs 1x 8mm bolt 5 minute replacement.
