Have had no dealing with buying from Sinergy, just going to post up a few interesting facts:

1) Take a look at this black v36 coupe - according to the ad VIN is: 6U9000CKV36405081

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Skyline-2008/AGC-AD-14093947/?Cr=10&sdmvc=1

Grab the chassis/frame number off the end of that VIN ie. CKV36-405081 and plug it in to a part sourcing/month of production tool such as: http://www.epc-data.com

Note the colour code - A54. This car should be 'Vibrant Red' - NOT black. Look up the paint code on this handy website: http://www.nissanreference.com/infinitig

2) Grey v36 coupe - according to the ad chassis/frame # would be CKV36-401081 (spooky how similar it is to the above):

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Skyline-2007/AGC-AD-14249040/?Cr=6&sdmvc=1

This car should be QX1 'Ivory Pearl' (white), NOT grey.

3) White v35 coupe - according to the ad chassis/frame # would be CPV35-504062:

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Skyline-2003/AGC-AD-13371614/?Cr=7&sdmvc=1

This car should be KY0 'Brilliant Silver' - NOT pearl white.

4) Silver Stagea - according to the ad chassis/frame # would be NM35-317114:

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Stagea-2003/AGC-AD-12563859/?Cr=3&sdmvc=1

This car should be QX1 'Ivory Pearl' - NOT silver

5) Another silver Stagea - according to the ad chassis/frame # would be PNM35-700027:

http://www.carsales.com.au/dealer/details/Nissan-Stagea-2004/AGC-AD-13606744/?Cr=5&sdmvc=1

This car should be B21 'Athens Blue' NOT silver

Does Sinergy expect us to believe it has 'butter-fingers' enter all of their sales Ad's for them? Really... the question that needs to be asked is:

Why doesn't Sinergy provide genuine VINs when it advertises it's cars online?

Edited by dodgyimports

Slightly off topic, nice search tool.

Good to see my car is meant to have 17 inch rims and was originally grey.

Interesting info above though. Either all of the cars listed have had a colour change or they're listing incorrect vins. Either way it doesn't look good.

i have had pour dealings with there service section and one of the managers i dont know how he calls himself a proud owner but i dont know about their sales staff and processes...i know there expensive...i would see iron chef or someone similar. there are several good guys out there who dont have a bad word against them.

Why doesn't Sinergy provide genuine VINs when it advertises it's cars online?

I'm now able to answer my own question. Per the above post Sinergy have a strange habit of advertising their cars with "real looking" VINs thanks to their fat-fingered webmaster.

Fortunately Sinergy have recently aquired some new stock - and one of those new stock is a bit less generic:

a 2005 Nissan Skyline 350GT in red (an uncommon colour). Have a look on your favourite auction statistics site - you will find only one 2005 red v35 coupe has sold within the last 3 months and I suspect the total number this year would be less than 10.

Let's have a look at the VIN per the CarSales ad. (you'll need to use the IOS/Android/RT app - for some reason carsales hide the VIN field on their regular website these days :( )

According to the ad the vehicle chassis number would be: CPV35600186 - but according to that number the car should be QX1 (pearl white).

One of our (very few) 2005 red candidates conveniently has the chassis number CPV35600986 - only 1 digit difference!

So - the chances are already highly likely that we've found the same car but further confirmation comes when we run the chassis number through the Australian government RAWS compliance database.

Conveniently enough the car with our corrected chassis number had it's compliance done recently by "Redicorp Pty Ltd" - registered to an address in Adelaide, SA.

Therefore the answer to my initial question in the case of this particular car is precisely : -31,385

    • Hey lads, reviving an old thread.  As an update, since the last time replied to this thread, ive done mostly suspension. Havent touched the motor except for maintenance. Though upon changing spark plugs, found out i had splitfires pre-installed! Updates: - Got me some stock airbox top cover and snorkel to fit onto the original intake. Should be free of defects - Bought a set of R34 GT-T brakes (not installed yet, going to rebuild + respray in champion blue + white 'Nissan' text) - Bought the last set of bilsteins from @Sydneykid and had them installed. Has been making some sounds on the rear but hopefully should be sorted out after this New Year break. - Regreased front caster rod bushings (poly bushes..) - Rear upper camber arms - Whiteline sway bars (BNF27Z 22mm + BNR11XXZ 24mm).  The rear sway bars are a bit short (ive read 50mm else where) but was still able to get them in.  Anyhows, I reckon suspension is sorted now. Maybe replace bushes (do have a set of front upper control arms from SK not installed yet) but should be okay for now. From now, I'm wanting to start working on the motor, drivetrain etc etc. Still debating on the order to go on and what to buy etc but: - ECU ( Haltech or Link ( Link states that it dont support A/T or AWD functions... Can anyone attest to this? ) - Highflow turbo ( ATR43ss2 ) - Intercooler ( Not decided yet, but cant find many good afoordable ones. Toshi says to opt for crossflow Japanese. Bit difficult this one, unless I get a returnflow Blitz from JJ? ) - Injectors ( Any recommendations ? I do have a nismo FPR ( Thanks SK ) ) - Seats - Tune by either Toshi or DVS To be fair, I did consider just keeping the stock turbo and nistuning it. Sat in a mates stock N, that had something like 200kw, and I reckon that felt more than enough. Maybe I should just go this route ahhaha. Too many choices.... Planning a trip down south, so wanting to just clean things up and make sure it gets to and from in one piece. Anything else specifically I should do before ? Cheers lads
    • Must be for the car’s lucky charm 🤷🏽‍♂️ She runs fine, but it just seems to take about 1L less. Maybe I’ll have the oil sump dropped at some point to check if there is anything
    • Hmmm interesting. Mine is the exact same and clearly the right one.  The mystery of the engine oil being full after 3.5-4L continues
    • Yes I as well would like to find out where I could get some of the seat material with the red or blue small squares in it
