notebook5555
Can anyone please help???? Have searched the forums but cant seem to find an answer. I recently replaced all 4 discs and pads with upgraded slotted rotors and 600 degree pads. Car was stopping beautifully after replacement. All was working fine and did a track day at Eastern Creek and went heavy on the brakes. At the end of one session the brake pedal went to the floor and brakes weren't stopping very well. On cool down the pedal was ok again but brakes are now spongy and wont stop like it used to before the track day. After this incident the brakes wont lock up even I slam down the pedal. I can also hear a sound like air is leaking from front right rotor every time I drive and apply the brake. I cant see any fluid leaking anywhere but I think I can smell the brake fluid. Anyone got any advice? greatly appreciated Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431732-r33-gts-t-brake-fail/ Share on other sites
GTSBoy
Um......the first thing you have to do after boiling your brake fluid is a complete fluid change and re-bleed. Legendaryl
Check your lines and bleed your brakes. See that they are still round. That's plastic is probably approaching its 20th birthday Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431732-r33-gts-t-brake-fail/#findComment-7016463 Share on other sites

SargeRX8
Yeah, I'd suggest get some HEL braided lines, DOT 5.1 fluid and redo the whole system. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/431732-r33-gts-t-brake-fail/#findComment-7016473 Share on other sites
