Your Help Needed Tonight To Help Amep ! It Will Only Take 5 Minutes!

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party needs our help so that they can register for the SA state elections in March next year.

Most of the really good decision making happens at a state level - with the AMEP now having a Senator at a federal level, it's a great chance to consolidate things with a win in the Legislative Council in SA.

The AMEP needs 200 signed members by the close of business THIS FRIDAY (5pm).

For those of you signing up for the first time, membership is an annual fee of $20 and we will also require that you are already enrolled to vote and have a valid residential address. If you are already a paid member, you do not have to pay your membership fee again, but you will still need to fill the form out.

We will be manning stands across Adelaide 5-9pm TONIGHT (addresses below), tell your mates and together we can make a difference at State level.

Locations (with google maps links):

Autobarn Noarlunga: http://goo.gl/maps/sUq2L

Autobarn Mile End: http://goo.gl/maps/IM6Xs

Autobarn Gilles Plains (Holden Hill): http://goo.gl/maps/P15rt

Supercheap Elizabeth: http://goo.gl/maps/VgAuW

Thanks for your help guys, we really need this to work if we're going to see lasting changes to laws and regs in SA.

The form is attached, if you want to fill it out at home and drop it off, but we need it TODAY :)

Sad thing is that now they have a guy in the senate, and 'roo poo' and crazy Clive will basically have the balance of power .... most definitely NOT a good thing for Australia imho :( - govts hamstrung by dissenters/non-party line senators can not push legislation through, and the country will stall because of it. Clive has stated that he will not support rolling back the Carbon Tax unless they refund the tax paid by every single Australian - what drugs is he on? Does he not realise they changed other taxes in conjunction, so just 'refunding' the carbon tax is not an option?

Plus, the Qld branch of the party has summarily 'sacked' then entire Victorian arm of the party and is in complete disarray (I am not sure on the status of the SA arm).

Be careful what you wish for.

There are way too many insignificant little wannabe parties that are just gonna block legislation because they can.

75% of the "fly by night" parties won't be around in 6 years....they are there for for a free ride of approx $1.2 million over 6 years and a lifetime of Super

This clown is gonna do more harm for motor enthusiats than good......can't believe you guys support this twat!

Cant believe it cause they dont follow your LNP agenda? I happen to agree that the 'AMEP' are a disorganized rabble, but people voted for such disorganized rabble.

The people spoke last election - they said 'Labor sucks, lets turf em out' and just as many said 'the LNP are no better, I don't trust Abbott, I'm going to go grassroots'

This is a rejection of the two party system across the board. Greens picked up loads of primary votes as labor voters flocked to them, yet the Greens lost the all-so-vital labor preferences. And lets not forget the Coalition is just that - two mediocre parties that couldnt organise a piss in a wading pool and so had to join forces to get a majority.

As nutty as some greenie policies are, people are so turned off by the LNP and ALP that they will throw their vote anywhere. If the democrats hadnt imploded they might be doing quite well right about now.

This is democracy working. The people that didnt vote for Abbott want this. They want his loony 1950's antisocial agenda stymied. Praise jesus.*

-D

*Not an endorsement of any alternative political party - merely a rejection of everything the LNP seems to stand for.

Wise person once said that the wisest direction or path for the future is decided by reflecting on the past.

Right now things aren't looking too rosy for the ALP, the Democrats or your tree hugging mates.........give the weed a break Ben it's clouding your thoughts bud

You seem to forget Ben that the LNP have GIVEN us the current state of affluence in Australia. Labor/Bob Hawke/Paul Keating absolutely f**kED Australia in the 1990's - had Labor been in power for the 00's as well, do you really think we would be where we are now? I think not. I know not.

And as for the alternates, do you really want idiots (Greens) running the country, where their FIRST task on their agenda had they won power was to stop ALL mining and associated activities immediately. They don't care about the insane effect doing such a thing would have on our economy. They have one goal, and will sacrifice everything to achieve it. Crazy. The Democrats are only half a step above.

Stupid people voting for stupid independent idiots has only lent to ruining Australia - Liberals will be stymied for the next 3 years and essentially held at ransom to get legislation through.

TBE honest I hope we have a double dissolution election - I think many people who thought they would put in a 'protest' vote would wake up and see the danger of putting in people like Bob Katter (who is mental), Clive Palmer (rich as hell, but clearly even more mental), and nobodys like Ricky Muir (who has not got the first idea about politics) in power, and vote like any actual sane person with any interest in the future of our country - Liberal.

I just got back from China a few days ago and the infrastructure that I witnessed was absolutely mind boggling!

What these people can do in 1 or 2 years would take us 10 to 20 years.....and not just because of people power or money alone but because of a huge lack of bureaucracy which our govt seems to have an abundance of to deal with thanks to the little wannabe blockers of legislation

    • I'm pretty much healed up post surgery so I spent another almost full day out in the shed re-arranging everything to make room for all of the shit that I've taken off the car.  I need to get everything off the floor and away from the car for when I start making a massive mess stripping off the remaining body deadener and then for the the painting process.  Almost got the shed to a point now where I feel I can actually start working on the car again (clean shed clean mind or something!).  Almost 11 years of accumulated car parts, building supplies, tools, junk, etc have taken a long time to get in some sort of order again!  Most stuff is now boxed up and in the back shed if it's not car related.  Most people would still be horrified walking into my shed but it's significantly better than it was before!   For those that saw my separate post the other day, yeah I ordered one.... This version- I convinced myself to stop being a clown, wake up to yourself and realise it will take you 5 weeks to make one by which stage you're over working on the car again...  Maybe I am getting on top of my "mental ailments" and making smarter choices.... $1450 delivered which will take my miserable half-dutch arse a few days to get over having spent that much!  If I don't have a use for it straight away after my car is off it I might even see if there is a "rental market" for them.  See if anyone wants to hire it for a period of time.  $25 a week or something like that.  I'll worry about that when my car is actually ready to come off it though as that might be a while away!! There's now no excuses now for not ending up with an underside you could eat off! Away for kids sport the next few weekends so hopefully can get the rotisserie assembled ready to go for the car to go straight on it the next available weekend.
    • I always use my Karcher, but it's only a little one that I picked up from Supercheap  The only issue I ever had with a pressure washer was when I was a kid cleaning coaches, they had a hi-po industrial sized petrol jobbie that would strip paint if you got to close I saying this, we have a fairly high power washer at work with a diesel powered heater that sprays water at about 60°c, it works great for removing old wax and road grime on the underbody after some foam cannon action, albeit from a "stand off" distance of a few feet
    • Sorry no - The sandtrap adventure ended the day, happened at the end of the last session. At that time I wasn't hearing any weird noises nor were the brakes shuddering anymore. It was only when watching the videos that I remembered I had these sounds early on!
    • Did the noise appear after your sand trap adventure? Could be something got dislodged and is playing rub rub. Even a rock wedged somewhere.
    • Is there a shroud around the tailshaft spline into the back of the box? They can rub and make a horrible noise if they are not on straight/damaged. The heat might have caused it to grow too much in one direction and rub.
