Currently advertised with some A4 flyers up at work for $30k ono Will detail it next week, and get some good picks for carsales, then put the cover back on and put it back on the tender until someone comes to look at it No real hurry to sell, in saying this I would like it gone with in 6 months as I am retiring in May 25 and lose the ability to store the car undercover in a secured site, plus as we are moving out of Sydney the potential buyers market will be more limited https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/485907-2002-vx-ss-commodore-30000-ono/

I've worked around a crunchy/grindy gearbox for so long now that track instructors note how I have absolutely awful shifting habits. S L O W shifts and then blipping the throttle even on upshifts out of habit. My vote is R33 series 3 gearbox, those are still readily available and relatively cheap. -
When you get a bit of time, can you post a bit more about what this is/what it does? I think options for English will be very useful to other JDM owners

For the oil on the shelf.....just consider how long it sat around between when a dinosaur wee'd it out to being put in a container There are fluids that don't keep, unsealed brake fluid in particular is no good within about 12 months, and regular unleaded starts to go bad (gummy, particularly in small carburetted engines) within 3 months, but oils are fine

Most likely the 4th gear synchros (and probably others) are worn. Redline lightweight shockproof gear oil has been the go to for masking that issue a bit, it is very common. The only real solution is to fit the R33 series 3 gearbox bits in a full rebuild....or accept it is not a new car and shift slower
