Is torque also an issue???  (its a question do not flame me)

Hi daveo, horsepower is torque multiplied by rpm. So the amount of torque is not really an issue, more where abouts in the power band it is. The problem with a 260 rwkw RB20 (more than enough to run 120 mph in an R32 GTST) is to do with how high in the rpm range the max torque is developed and for how long the max is available. This makes them very difficult to get off the line and hard to keep in power during the necessary gearchanges.

Hope that helps:cheers:

MattR's car when owned by Japanese Motorsport ran a 11.3 with a RB25, TDO6 20G, Subzero plenum, stock internals in a GTS4 shell with GTR rear diff and obviously in 2wd. Made 301rwkw on tilbrooks dyno.

It wasnt a 20G, and from what i have been told the thing was running on jungle juice and slicks to get that time:)

Not saying anything wrong with that or trying to take away from the car/owner, just making sure its put in the right context:thumbsup:
