Hi daveo, horsepower is torque multiplied by rpm. So the amount of torque is not really an issue, more where abouts in the power band it is. The problem with a 260 rwkw RB20 (more than enough to run 120 mph in an R32 GTST) is to do with how high in the rpm range the max torque is developed and for how long the max is available. This makes them very difficult to get off the line and hard to keep in power during the necessary gearchanges.

It wasnt a 20G, and from what i have been told the thing was running on jungle juice and slicks to get that time:)

oh sorry, that part I wasn't to sure...I know it was a TD06 tho. It definately had slicks, I watched it run.

48, holy crap! i did 27 in 1 day (5 hours) which was the 2nd most ever at Willowbank in a day. 48 is just crazy. Nice time for that mph.

dont know how quick it was but at brisbane auto salon there was a 32 with an rb20 internals were standard it got a bit over 300kw atw with a gt35
