Stagea C34 Ignition Switch

I think my ignition switch is slowly dying, eg. After key is turned, it takes a second or two before starter kicks in and car starts.

Q's 1. Is there a quick way to diagnose

2. Is there an aftermarket alternative?

3. Is it the same as another generic model eg. R33, R34 Skyline, gts-t, GTR etc

4. Can you just replace the ignition switch alone and not the whole key barrel

I don't think it is the starter motor as this was replaced only recently.

Car is a Stagea 1998 Rs4, Series 2
