Anyone Know How To Use Japanese Remote Starters?

hi everyone,

i recently bought a stagea and found a remote starter in the ashtray. Got it to work once and i cant get it to work again. just wondering if anyone else has one or knows the procedure to use them?

i managed to find the manual on line but its obviously in japanese pdf format.

its a Yupiteru VE-E1 brand.

Until you get the manual looked at, I'd have a go at altering the circumstances around how you try using it. So if the car is manual make sure it's in neutral with the handbrake on. If auto also make sure the handbrake is on. Try having the car unlocked and see if that makes a difference.

There is also a chance the battery in the remote is dead.

I've tried all scenarios. I fluked it the first time I used it and it worked the once. Battery deff not flat as I can here the unit in the car beep and communicate with the remote control.

Does your car also have an alarm/immobilizer? If so, that may also be part of why it isn't working. When it is activated it will stop the car from being able to start, just like if you were to try and start it with the key

No alarm/immobilizer yet.

Hopefully this will work.

Hold the engine button until the lamp comes on (should flash), release the engine button.

Wait for 3 seconds then press and release the door button.

Wait for 5 seconds (don't press or hold any buttons) and the engine should start.
