370Gt Transmission Type

Hi everyone - this is my first post. Bought a 370GT auto sedan today - manufacture date 12/2008. I just wondered how I can tell if it has a 5 or 7 speed auto.

Even the sales guy didn't know! Doesn't really matter as I love the car and it goes like the clappers anyway - just wondered.

What does it say on the build plate in the engine compartment?

If that is your car's build date, then you have a 7 speed auto. If you want to find out, jump on the freeway and feel free to shift gears manually. Your instrument cluster will indicate your gear.

JDM sedans all came in auto. If you say your car is 370GT then it's a 7 speed

350GT V36 were 5 speed auto.

Only early 370GT coupes came with 5 speed auto

Thanks for the replys guys - much appreciated. It's good to know I can talk to people who know about these

things. Am still on a learning curve with this and the Japanese displays don't help. The car didn't come with any books but it looks like I can download the 2009 Infinity G37 books which might be some help.
