It was just this side of 1k. But obviously there's a lot of extras that aren't necessary. Like the mirrored, anti fog, multi layer visor, that was $200 on its own. I got a bit carried away in the end, clicking 'add to cart' on most of the available accessories.

It's only the ML Blue. The place I ordered it from did me a package deal but they didn't have the iridium visor. And to be honest, its killing me. The fact that I forked out all that money and that I didn't get exactly what I want...first world problems. :whistling:

I went the KF3. I was very hesitant about ordering a helmet online, but after going to my local (2+ hours away) Revolution Racegear, I was able to try on the KF3 in two different sizes that they had in-store. I would recommend you do this, if possible, prior to ordering. Otherwise http://www.racedeal.com have an excellent returns policy with postage paid.

Haha. After going in to RRG and waving cash in their face, the deal that they were going to give me was more expensive than ordering it online elsewhere. It's not my fault they weren't competitively priced enough. And after taking to the guys at Racedeal.com at WTAC, they were very helpful and I was much happier to give them my hard earned.

I'm not a great believer of taking advantage of shopfront businesses to make online purchases.

If you are buying online you shouldn't be taking advantage of local businesses to use as a "fitting room" for your online purchase. They spent time with you, and yet you had no real intention of buying through them. They saw you as a potential customer, and treated you as such.

Imo, the savings from buying online, come with an element of risk; people want the prices, but none of the risk.

If I buy online, I do all my own research and if I get it wrong its on my own head, but if the saving is significant, it is worthwhile.

I don't believe you can have it both ways, but I guess its more of an ethical argument than anything.

I agree with you in part, but I did go in there with the intention of buying it. Thus, going in there with the cash. Hell, last time I was in there, I bought a pair of Willians harnesses. I have no qualms with RRG, they've been good in the past. However, the helmet I wanted wasn't in stock anyway, they only had flat black, w/o the hans posts. Being 2+ hours away, ment it was going to have to be ordered in and sent out anyway. I asked them if they were negotiable on price at all, and they barely budged. I said I would think about it over a coffee and it was only then that I looked up how much cheaper they were elsewhere.

Yep, fair call Tim.

I'm amazed at the number of people who do it with no intention of buying.
They are also the first to complain when the local supplier isn't interested in helping when they have a warranty type issue.

Cheers, Dale
