You might need to set your computer into diagnostic mode. I did this to solve my flashing airbag light problem...don't know if it will work for your HICAS light though.

Open your driver door.

turn your ignition to the "on" position

locate the black door switch inside the driver door (its to your right just behind you)

press this at least 5 times within 7 seconds - this puts the car into diagnostic mode.

To return the car to normal mode you turn ignition "off" for 1 second and then turn to "on" again

This solved the flashing airbag light problem on my R33 :)

your hicas diags is different from the normal diags you have to do some funny drive forward stick your tounge out to the left drive backwards stick your tounge out to the right ....... you get the drift i think its available in the faqs section of the forum
