4 door + exhaust

anyone had any dramas putting jap exhausts on their 4 doors?

are the 4 doors significantly longer than the 2 doors?

yar, im wondering how different though;

i guess the exhaust mob will be able to knock up an extra bit of piping to make it fit anyways

The coupe exhaust will fit the sedan... I have a Trust coupe exhaust on mine... The sedan exhaust IS different though...

The hangers are exactly the same as the coupe so no problems there... But the sedan exhaust is longer by about 1 inch... The extra length is at the cat end, not the rear muffler end...

What this means for sedan owners fitting coupe exhausts is, the whole exhaust system will have to be pushed towards the front of the car once the system is on the hangers to bolt the cat back to the front pipe... This has the effect of pulling the rear muffler tip in under the rear bar slightly...

Why don't you get an exhaust shop to cut the end off the cat, extend the pipe, and put a new flange on it so that the exhaust tip is in the right place?

yar, ill talk to the exhaust mob and see what they reckon the best solution is

Hmm, I think perhaps that mine is different to yours. I had to get a specific sedan one from Japan.

i know that u can buy specific 4 door exhausts

i jsut dont fancy forking out for a new one

its been hard enuff finding a second hand exhaust that i want from a coupe
