Chasing up all I need for rego

2 good tyres

Really want to stuff the exhaust got 1/2 hour to get down 6 Db don't want to be messing with the 3in exhaust

find out how to employ the steering rack of oil an put nylon with stop lead p/s oil

See if that helps

Once regoed get ecu an tune

But the biggest thing is I've got cash burning a hole in my pocket ATM so just got to keep my impulse buying under control as not sure when I'll be flush again lol

Sounds promising. There are a few build threads on this forum which you can check out and steal some ideas off. I'm an impulse buyer as well and it sucks :(

I'm following Sin's R34 GTT build to claim 250-260kW. Not only that I know it was successful but I've also been for a ride in it which confirmed me wanting to commit. Gotta do your homework before you splurge out K's of cash. since you were into V8's at one point in time I'm sure you know the type of power you're chasing.

When you mod - more things can go wrong with it so you gotta do it right the first time ! But I guess getting over pits is the first step. Rosie goes into Trojan tomorrow to get complied and then over the pits shortly after. Fingers crossed for both of us m8.

cheers

Spot on , I want to get it right the first time, but the more I chat an read it seems there is no right or wrong just popular opinion, if you understand that In other context I'm mean. Lol

I'm chasing a z32 maf ATM that I'm sure of, ecu I don't know just yet.

I've still got my 2 ls1s I been driving the ute since I found out the rego was cancelled on the skyline , but on the up side it's full of high end gear the turbo was high flowed in the last 14 months and it has a green compliance plate which I was told any workshop can road worthy it but if it was purple? It would be Dickson only.

So I'm happy about that one

Cheers

I guess people just have different opinions on brands and experience. At the end of the day you need parts that talk to each other correctly. No backyardy jobs unless you're DIY MIK and even he uses mechanics sometimes- In my short time being on SAU - I've found out that it's a knowledge Portal and everyone is willing to help out (most of the time). I've even had guys interstate PM me that if I needed any questions answered / advice that to give them a PM and they'll help me out. So everyone seems to be getting the best out of each and every Skyline.

Not real sure about the complience work, since I was told all interstate cars must go through Dickson only - I've tried calling up other places for them to pass it but been told that I have to go to Dickson becuase it's interstate, but then I've had people mention that it doesn't matter. Unsure on the process but I'm sure you'll find out sooner or later.

Cheers

I've gone mafless on my SS 5.7 an it really pi$$es off the Rta , the shop I went to last week recommended I just go with the map on the skyline ,but I want a car I don't have to remod if I let it sit while I drive another car for a bit, an have to get a roadworthy again.

It's a real hassle San plain dumb having 3 cars regoed at once.

I didn't mean u zeb, I'm talking about workshops using my car as a guinea

Pig lol, I'm greatful for any an all advice in here but when it's on the clock, it worrys me when there first an best recommendation is the one monogrammed on there shirts

Lol

Yeah it's always hard and everyone is bias (most of the time) when selling goods at a shop. I've had a few people offer me their advice but on the side mentioned that they have to say it but directed me to a better brand. Which is why I mentioned to do your homework before you commit. A lot of blokes around here catch on when you're striving to get the best out of your car, genuine about your interests in the car which the mechanic appreciates.

I am ALWAYS nice to people who serve me because at the end of the day they are the people who are making my food, drink or going to be working on my car. I can assure you that if you give lip and expect a service then you're going to get the proper work done... but in the most lazy way possible which turns out to be a bit of a fail.

just gotta test the waters. I've been to 2 different mechanics and about to test a 3rd (Trojan) they're a skyline specialist so I'm hoping they're my go to guys

That's why I won't burn an workshops an I've been to 2 now, on a thread, no point in burning bridges, your spot on about lip , gets you nowhere or worse.

Mum always say common curtesy doesn't cost anything, may even get you somewhere. :)
