Hey all,

Some little POS ****ing **** etc has tried to jimmy my door lock with what appears to be a screwdriver, and has subsequently lefty half of the darn thing still in the lock.

Two questions here, how on earth do i get the screwdriver out, and if the lock is now destroyed, what do i need to do to replace the barrel?

I assume this is not an easy or cheap task, as a new barrel will require new keys and therefore coding as well yes?

Thanks all.

Tony

I am under the impression that they actually just clip on from the outside in 2 seconds. Keep in mind too that the link I posted is the our passenger side (G35 drivers side) - you would need the other one.

One thing to bear in mind tough is a totally flat battery or a failing remote.

Whilst I get the idea presented would it not be better to get the correct lock and get a locksmith to code it.

It would certainly save having to pop the lock again when a dead battery occurs.
