Yes, Scotty has one, as does wagonboy theo. Problem is you need to find a harness made out of unobtainum, then find a hks tuner which will charge a mint, or find someone with the other ahem, skills to tune them.

Might pay to research a adaptronic...

As above, big dollars but mine is working very well. You will need to find someone competent willing to tune it, and you will most probably need to supply the software/dongle to them.

What specifically are you trying to get out of it? The Emanage Ultimate works very well to a point...

There is a test M35 driving about at the moment running an Adaptronic ecu, it has a few issues to sort out, but it is another option for the near future.

With local knowledge, and local support.

I reckon it'll be a winnah. But the test mule customer is bloody picky...

Hi Scotty,

I here someone in Sydney can tune them... Bds or something, can't remember exactly.

Anyway I plan on keeping this car for at least the next 5-6 years some want to pretty much do exhaust, fmi intake ect, boost controller, injectors, ecu, big brakes, basically everything besides internals.

My previous r34 had the works done to it. Everything besides internals and I loved the way it went and the power. 338 kws @ wheels. It was fun to drive. I want similar power but a "under the radar" car.

And to think I sold my harness! :(

Adaptronic setup is nearly there. Hopefully I'll have the final tune in the next week or so.

But....you may find that you will need to go back to a cable throttle. Anyway updates still to come.

Alex - picky? Bitch slap 4u...but you are right. I want my foot to match the power delivery!

The harness is no problem for me, I can get that sorted.

How?

I can bet BDS have never tuned one of these before, and with statements like the one I quoted, I fear you may think this will be an easy task...

If the Adaptronic will work, almost any aftermarket ecu will. But you slowly lose functionality the further down the road you travel, and the costs rise if no-one has been down that path before you, trust me, I know.

Scotty, all I mean buy that statement is I can get a harness if I need one. Not make one.

And yes I would rather go with a more common, readily available and easier to tune ecu. I don't want on going headaches.

I was speaking to a mate who's got a HKS F-con V-pro in his EVO.......... everyone he spoke to in Sydney wanted to rip it out but he found that "Tunehouse" (I think it was) would give it a go for $1200 just for a first tune ROFL

I've got the F-con in mine and I think its awesome but still could be better!!! might need to match it to a Nismo or Impul to get the last few restrictions out of it.

"tunehouse" that's the place I was thinking about.

But gee that's a lot for a tune. And knowing how much I tinker I will prob need my car tuned at least 2-3 times before I'm happy.

More info on adaptronic? Cost? When? Where?

Any new installation will require quite a few hours to set up properly. Touch up tunes should be a lot less.

Yea theres very little support outside of japan for the f-con i believe. And thats why the higher price.

Bigkevracer(ryan) is also tuned in f-con but has had never ending problems i think with throttle. But the rest of us is fine.

What restriction are there? Only encountered speed cut

    • I would not be surprised if you are the only person on earth that has the interest/desire to do that lol.  The Haltech base map is a really good starting point, the car will fire easily and drive very well, even on mild boost levels. To me, following your advice sounds like some sort of ancient Chinese water torcher lol (this is not an insult Josh, never change <3)
    • Those car show concepts from the 2000's and 2010's like the Floria and IDx were brilliant and should've gone ahead, at least one of them. But neither Honda nor Nissan are thinking about affordable performance any more, which is truly sad.  Even if Toyota's liquid hydrogen ICE development reaches the point where it's commercially viable and the infrastructure to support it, Honda/Nissan would have to wait until Toyota allow fee access to their patents to offer it with any smaller performance models they released to take advantage of it.
    • A sporty manual RWD coupe with a IL4 Honda engine would only be a good thing I assume we won't see anything released for a few years though, unless informal talks and designs have been going on for a few years,  and due to the current, and future, emmisions and safety requirements, I assume anything "sporty" they would do would be at least some hybrid thingie And hopefully anything they are thinking of has nice lines, without lots of plastic and fake bits hanging off it like that horrendous FK8 that looked like it was designed by a 13 year old The other issue of course in the current market is cost, currently the type R is around $70k, a twin is around $50k Meh, I'm old and grumpy and would rather buy a older model car and waste my coin on that than buying anything currently available new
