Hey all

currently installing injectors to my gtr.

It currently has Sard 800cc changing to bosch 1000cc for e85.

I didnt release you had to make the injector and plug.

Can any one tell me (look at pics below) how the extension and filter fits to the injector? which way around.

and any hints to put the plug together and get the old one off?

also how pedantic do i need t go with emptying the fuel tank to get the old fuel out? i was going to remoe the tank completly but have since seen how hard it is to remove...

Help??

the extension just clips over the top to make it the same length as your stock injectors....the filter fits in there somewhere i guess

like this

you only need the cap if the injector is shorter than the ones already in it...alternatively you can not use the caps and just lower your fuel rail to fit....looks neater this way...depends on your setup though

to empty your tank just run the pump...run a power wire to it, or just short it across the relay so it pumps and put a jerry can at the fuel line....

the filter should only fit properly one way, I just fitted ID1300s and the extension/adaptors already came with the filter fitted but I had to fit the plugs, you need a W crimping tool to crimp the pins properly

I just cut the old plugs off, put a hose on the top of the filter into a bucket then run power to the plug at the top of the tank and pump it out

the other thing I did was break off the little black ring below the O-ring as I found that was hitting the manifold before the O-ring seated properly

will going from 800s to 1000s make that much of a difference, couldn't you just bump up the fuel pressure

not sure...thought it would only fit one way...buti would think it flows through the gold bit fist and out the other end...does it sit in the top of the injector maybe?

for the plugs just cut the wires and crimp them in...doesnt matter which way around they go

I just bought plug adapters so I could still use the old plugs if I ever got defected. The adapter plugs were like $8 each. It worked a treat. Also from memory the gold bit of the filter was as the top and filter went down into injector.

This is the reason I pre-install the filter in the adapter and solder the pins to make up the plug adapters on the kits I sell. It keeps my customers from having any of these difficulties.

The filter drops into the adapter from the top, then tap it down with a plastic hammer.

Don't cut the old plugs off unless they are damaged. Just use plug adaptors.

Thanks for the help guys.

finished it off sunday.

Took out as much fuel as possible then flushed through 10 ltrs of E85 through it.

Took out as much as possible again then filled it to the brim.

Now have to wait on a tune!
