Stock Wastegate Position??? Now hitting boost at 5000rpm's not 3000rpms??

Just put my turbo back onto my car which is a r33 gtst with the stock turbo in place..anyways had to move the wastegate out of the way when i was taking the turbo out and now when i bolted the wastegate back on i wasn’t sure where it sat exactly when you bolt it on but now when I went for a test run boost doesn’t start hitting until like 5000rpms...could this have something to do with the wastegate since after that test run I moved it a tiny bit forward and it seems to bring the boost on much earlier about 3500rpm before I ripped the turbo off the car the turbo was starting too spool about 2500rpm and I’d get a noticeable kick of boost about 3000rpm...the turbo seems to be not spooling as early as it was before (the sound of the pod is so quiet now).

Can someone help?? I need to know how the wastegage is meant to sit when the engine is off and on a stock r33 gtst turbo
