Hello all just wanted to check i wanted to purchase a Walbro e85 fuel pump part no F9000267 and also get a fitting kit 400-0085 as well to install into my Nissan skyline gtr 34.

Can any one confirm that it can be done what about piping and remote pick up with the sock as i know the gtr 34 has a fuel pump that sits high and has a remote hose that has a sock for intank fuel pick up from the base of the tank .

Will await to hear your answers.

thanks in advance

I did this 3 days ago, I had a Nismo pump in there already, I got the E85 pump with the rubber sock for the 255 pump cut the end off it and put it over the pump then hose clamped it to the factory location then took the fitting off the bottom of the Nismo pump and fitted it to the Walbro and refitted the factory hose to the fitting, then pushed the factory hose onto the top of the pump

I soldered the two wires into the factory ones about 100mm apart heat shrink then and zip tied so the two joints can't get close to each other

then I drilled a -6 bulkhead into the tank lid with hose fitting, attached the hose from the pump to that and ran the a hose from the top of that to the surge tank then two hoses from the surge tank back to the two factory tank ports

Many thanks for that,

So it fits ok no worries no problems, just need to find a way of not cutting the original Nissan fuel pump connector off, don't really want to as I might one day want to put the original back inside, so need some backward compatibility .

And under normal conditions the pump has the male end of the connector built into it .......

Any ideas on that part ?

From what I can tell the bottom of the pump from walbro has a foot sock attachement with a normal circlip crimp that pushes over the exposed stud, does this mean that the pipe comes with this sock/foot type attachment with a crimp style connector ?

I wouldn't be using the long hose remote pickup personally, as the pump will suck air through the fitting at anything under 1/2 tank. I would be trying to get the pump into the very bottom of the tank, into the cup in the bottom if there is one, and use the sock that comes in the box...

a bit concerned any one else done the conversion ? at this stage id be more inclined to go with a uprated nismo or tomei pump to feed the need for the e85 fuel as it seems more a likely replacement for the stock location and plugs but also because of the fuss of the bottom hose to sock connector ?

how about get a GT-t fuel pump cradle? I'm sure it will fit and now the fuel pump will sit at the bottom of the tank :)

It seems Walbros always need to be submerged, there are 2x little pin holes at the bottom of the pump.

I just picked up the same pump on the weekend, will be fitting it also (when I'm bothered) haha

why did Nissan have to go and make the gtr tank so different, I don't have a cradle for a GT-t and no access to one but let me know if this works and I will have to make a plan to get one .... tut tut any one else fitted one and managed to get a away with a install in the stock location with a long hose going into the tank with remote sock ? I presume the pin holes are there for lubrication etc ? and it being a intank pump will need to be submerged to work properly ..... what a pain

only just saw this, when I fitted mine the fuel light was on, fitted it the put direct power to it from battery and pumped out the last of the fuel, no probs, but I am running a 9 liter surge tank now and the walbro is just to feed it

the GT-T cradle would be a good idea but looking at it it doesn't look like it would fit so you would most likely need the whole tank

if the nismo is going to supply your fuel needs then that would be the way to go, just a tip the nismo pump is a factory TT supra pump :ermm:

the first Walbro turbine pumps have issues with the pin holes not being submerged but it was my understanding/i 'd been led to believe that this had been fixed with the new E85 ones

so has anyone had success with setting up a new 450 l p/h walbro F9000267 in tank ? for e85 setup and is it really necessary to run a surge tank ?im looking at just over 400 kw

also what are you using for fuel rail setup ??

    • I'm firmly on the "zero compliance is good compliance" for FUCAs. I'd be looking to solid metal joints even if the primary reason for having them is because they facilitate the twist in the arm. I have never been more happy with the way the front suspension behaves than I have since I got rid of the FUCA bushes. Even the thin little (short lived) poly bushes in the Whiteline adjustables have too much compliance for my liking. It probably won't be long before I have sphericals nearly everywhere, probably including both top and bottom arms in the rear, and I'll start complaining about the increased costs for dental work. But I will be enjoying the driving more, I'm sure.
    • Plus, you'll get great experience in bedding in pads!
    • I have offset Nismo brackets so the fact the gktechs can pivot is less important to me. I have 170mm JIC arms with bushings - but they provide no adjustment and I'm not sure whiteline eccentric bushings will fit them (I don't want to ruin the bushings currently in them to find out). Ideally I want something with bushings + adjustment; hence why I'd like to find a pair of these. Unfortunately they aren't easy to find.
    • @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!
