Hi everyone currently looking for a r32 gtr,ive been reading heaps of your reveiws on sydney imports eg top secret, iron cheif.

Just wondering if annyones got anny positives and negatives about edward lees imports.

And also do these dealerships offer finance, warrenty, servicing etc.

Top secret and edward lees are looking more apealing online as i have not met in person. If use could help me decide which dealers are worth while to visit that would be much apreciated. Thanks

Xtreme Motorsport on parramatta road seem to be the most honest of the import dealers in sydney and so are jap link motors in rydlemere

Do a search on the forum about some of the dealers and it might be a bit of an eye opener

How impatient are you? If you're in no rush, then you can ask Iron Chef to look for the car you want. Or you can browse locally as well (saves you waiting).

That was my next Question. What is the avarage km on the odo that a 1994 r32 gtr is ment to have. Some are like 80,000 and even less then 50.how is this possible.

98% are, as dif said, wound back.

the other 2% are generally from Japanese collectors who have decided to sell.

Bez,

Read the Subforum "Importing Vehicles" > "If You're Happy With Your Import Car, Who Brought It In?"

There's a head count there over a broad spectrum of people. And you can join the dots to determine who isn't on that head count.

The head count is constantly updated.

Thanks terry i will check it out.

Hi bob as good as it sounds i wouldnt be able to pay for car out right, im looking to finance as im a bit impacient to come up with the other half.

Is that the gtr your looking to sell in your display picture.

No..... That's my ADM....Not sure if you know but Nissan Australia asked Japan to specially build 100 cars to Australian specifications which were sold through their dealers. Pretty rare probably only 60-70 still exist.

My JDM was a project in restoring a good car and making it great. Very original including radio and exhaust.

I'm not actively trying to sell it but if I trip over a genuine buyer then who knows.

Here are a few pics of both cars.

Cheers,

Bob.

What price point are you looking at?

Having 4 toys is a pain in the bum so I may consider selling my JDM.

Bob.

let me know how much, then wait a year or 2 until I can get a loan....

would love an ADM, but dont think ill ever achieve one.

this would be the cleanest jdm I have seen, and would love to keep it that way.

Your charcol r32 is basically what im looking for.where did u buy this car from. Did u import it or private seller? Dealership?

The Bathurst thing is a myth....... BMW and Ford got smashed by the public for racing cars the people couldn't buy here. Nissan wanted to raise the profile of their brand and capitalise on the success they knew they were going to get. The car was $112,995.00 at list price. My window sticker clearly shows that at the time of original purchase. Remember this is 1991/92. Mine was sold as a DEMO with 261 kms for $110,000.00.

I bought the JDM from a private guy in Victoria in February last year. It then underwent a complete cosmetic and mechanical restoration.

If I did sell it $25K would be a fair price which is a fair bit less than it owes me.

Cheers,

Bob.

    • 49719 is the cooler loop. Right at the front, LHS of that diagram. Return line from rack (LP side) goes to cooler loop on RHS front of car, then back under engine and returns to bottom of tank. 49717M is feed from tank to pump. HP line out of pump is thick rubber, followed by the hard line that runs down to crossmember and runs in parallel (but opposite flow direction) to the LP return line. Nothing goes anywhere near the firewall or interior of car. The closest they get to that is the connections on the rack.
    • Thanks, plan is to drain all fluid tomorrow and do smoke test to find out the leak.   Appreciate your help and want to understand how the system work. So cooling is achieved by the long loop not any rad? The diagram seems to suggest it connects to somewhere inside the cabin and I thought that is a cooler inside firewall. If you look at the diagram it seems to show it connects to something inside firewall. I tried chasing it but not easy unless I take loads off   i am confident pump is good as fluid goes in and it gets soft( steering) but as soon as I turn engine off , loads of bubble come to surface and overflow. When engine is on , fluid level is below minimum but when off it shoots off and thinking it is sucking air in. I suspect aluminium pipe may have a crack line or whole   smoke test with no fluid should be a good start and if needed will remove the pump   In addition, the one going under the engine bay is high pressure line and one directly connecting from pump to resorvoir is return/ low pressure?   finally I searched and suggestion is to use dexron 2 but that is discontinued so bought dexron 3 as all research suggest it is compatible and shouldn’t cause any issues/ blow seals. I bought two liter of dexron 3 motul atf
    • Don't worry about. Just don't try to drive hard enough to make boost and you'll be fine.
    • Yes. This has already been said. It is a loop of hardline in front of the radiator. Because.... the pump is on the LHS and the steering rack hydraulic connections are where they always are on a RHD steering rack....on the RHS. The high pressure line goes down under the engine, along the crossmember, like it does on all Skylines. Don't just throw expensive braided hoses/other kits at it. Work out what is wrong and fix that.
    • Still got the afm on the intake, clamps are shut tight, only loose hose is the one that goes from the j pipe towards the IACV, since it's next to impossible to find a factory hose and the barbs are different sizes (I'm still using clamps on this hose to try and help it seal on the iacv side) I've ordered parts to make up the hotside of the intercooler pipes, I'll plumb it in and see what happens in a few days I suppose The turbo's internally gated, can I just unscrew the tension rod to let the gate open?
