Nissan Maxima Vq35De - How Do Get More Power ?

Thinking about purchasing a 2009 Maxima with VQ35DE powerplant thats tuned to 170kw ... anyone able to get more grunt out of these engine ?

1. Through free flow exhausts

2. Engine chips

Buy a V35 Sedan instead. More power from factory and still has four doors.

J/K It all depends on your budget and what you want to do, it's not a HP car and it's FF so the Aftermarket support isn't going to be a strong as for the RWD VQ set ups

Start with your basics, intake, exhaust, ECU (tune/chip) then you can learn more about what it can do or you just might be happy and leave it there

Read up and keep learning there are many forums just dedicated to your car (http://maxima.org/) where you are going to find more info

I would spend money on suspension instead. The Maximas are awfully soft with poor body control, especially at the rear. The motor actually overpowers the chassis in standard form
