I have had the 3.0 in my 34 making 400kw+ for near a year now with two trips to the drags and a trackday at EC with no issues, but I am very mechanically sympathetic

This is a debate I had with Paully for ages when he was going to go the PPG, by the time you pay for the PPG set and have it fitted and you really need to have the Billet mid plate, you are better off saving a bit more and getting the sequential, unless there is a class restriction that requires a H pattern in which case the PPG box is the one to have

The problem with the aftermarket gearsets is they still go into a casing that wasn't designed to take that much power and flexes and due to size can't run bigger diameter gears, where the OS88 has 88mm centers and is purpose built to take upto 1500hp plus you get much faster gear changes, especially with shift cut setup :D

As for legalities, There is some crap about the shifter knob has to show the shift pattern I'm sure they could get you on of they wanted to.

Piggaz that's a fair wait for the box how does it work as in how much of a deposit you have to put down to get the ball rolling for one? If you don't mind me asking how much did one cost you?

The whole lot was the deposit, have to pay up front then wait 4 months or more for it to get here :(

It's ok for me my car is still running, but poor Paully has to sit and wait :(

Hopefully not to much longer now mate, if Paully wants to post the price he can

    • The once piece tail shafts with cv type joints on either end are the ones that end up vibrating and the vibration is caused by the cv joint binding as it turns, I’ve also seen them explode from the binding
    • Take this with a pinch of salt, it's from someone (me) who got annoyed with turbos entirely. I hated aftermarket lines. If I had the option to use hardlines with whatever turbo I had - I would use them, 10/10, 100% of the time. The only reason people go larger, heat resistent, shielded lines etc is because they have to. And yes they don't last forever. Even if you spend big bucks on all the best heat shielding money can buy, with the best heat resistant, fuel resistant, oil resistant, radiation resistant hose, they get stiff and break down and just don't last the way a metal pipe will.
    • Unfortunately I am quite literally halfway across the globe. So all sources for parts like that are far away for me. What do you mean by that exactly?
    • Put a piece of tape on it.   If it's that gone, you would be seeing it on the balancer. It would look rooted. Not in this universe.
    • If you’re in Australia and need a one piece tail shaft give propeller shaft repairs in concord a call. They do all the big Sydney cars and they don’t vibrate at all don’t get one either cv joints, they bind and cause the vibrations
