Hey peeps.

Have an odd issue with my m35. When full throttle revs will hold at around 4000 for a second and then start accelerating as normal. Mainly happens when in sequential mode.

My mates is doing the same thing but has only just started doing it. He has transgo in so that doesn't seem to be a fix for it.

Anyone experienced the same thing or know what is going on?

Ok im having odd rev problem. Just had throttle body cleaned and spark plugs replaced. Car revs at 1250 idle and drops to 950 in drive but feels like throttle is open slightly as car wants to accelerate on its own. Do I have to reset anything after getting this done? I aslo put car into drive and took foot off brake petal. Car throttle kicks in and out without touching accelerator. Any help would be great

It might be worth trying another one, to see if it goes away... Now that the plugs are good. :P

Put the old one back in... And I rekon it feels better.... Revs cleanily, not sure about the smoke, mirrors and back window are now filthy after spending time at Officer railway station...

Not sure what the hell is going on there...

Hey Josh, Did you find a solution to this problem. My car does exactly the same thing. Idles at 1250 and 950 in Drive. I went driving into Surfers the other night and she likes to drive at about 30 kph in drive without any throttle.

You need to do the idle relearn.

Yeah mate as dale sad I had to do a relearn.my mecanic sorted it t on his consult II. The car have to be at a certain running temp and whatnot before it would let him do it. All sorted now.

If you want I can give you my mechanics number (ryan) and he can get it sorted for you? He is up my way in cleveland so not too far from you and having done some work on my car shouldnt be an issue for him as its what he has dealt with before.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
