Using Customs Broker

Hey guys, importing another car, this time a Nissan Gangster Cube! The cars I imported before, I used a customs broker to get through Aus customs in Brisbane. Cost was about $500 dollars. What do they exactly do? Is it possible for me to do this myself?

Cost is normally $150-250 and no it's not worth doing yourself. They arrange the paperwork for customs and quarantine - it's one of those things where if you get it wrong, you'll be in for all kinds of butthurt and storage expenses, which can be up to $100/day. Not worth the risk.

Thanks Chef! Also looking at using autohub shipping on recommendation. They supposably have a flat rate of $1700 for shipping and brokerage fees? Any chance you know what is covered in this flat rate?
