Auto Service Kit

Just looking for a filter and gasket for my S1 stagea, and I am wondering whether any RE4R01A service kit will do, or do some cars use different sumps and different shaped filters etc?

If I go to supercheap (or heaven forbid nissan) and ask for other vehicle models that may fit, what would be some options? Are there any differences in 2wd and 4wd ones (like a skyline gtst auto)?

Supercheap won't be able to tell you what fits what unless they have details of what model car that transmission is in or the transmission model itself(which is very unreliable as it's a keyword search).

They can also look up imports so you might be lucky otherwise find out which other ADM vehicle the trans is delivered in and use that.

Best to call them first, just give them car details (make, model, year and engine capacity).

Don't really need a filter - its a metal thing you can take out and clean. All RE4R01A should be the same 2wd or awd. Stagea, skyline, utes all the same.

Good to know about the filter though I am still unsure on the gasket. The stagea auto sump is a rectangle shape, where as the link above shows an odd shape. Ill see if supercheap has anything for the 300zx or skyline auto.

That service kit is for a RE4R03A. You want the 1a kit which is earlier like in terrano's and possibly early patrols

Bingo, thanks for that. Supercheap should be able to get that. Also will be 100x easier to order with a part number.

What is wrong with some gasket maker? I just use high temp silicone for the sump.

The filter is re-usable so I can't see a point in buying a kit. Probably better off sticking a shift kit in there when you clean the filter...
