I just bought a rb25det that has been slapped in a VL commodore, but this isn't about the car.

I need to know how you pipe a turbo? Embarrassing question but this is my first turbo setup and being a 4th year mechanic and not knowing much about them is quite an embarrassment.

Can someone please tell me how to plumb a turbo, and how to tell if it's a stocka or something amazing haha

:-) thanks :-)

Easy as

Above pic is the front of a turbo. The middle section is where your air cleaner needs to go. Either by way of an intake pipe or by directly bolting the air cleaner to the turbo. Being an RB25 in a VL it may have an air flow metre, if it does you will need to put that between the front of the turbo and the air cleaner

The outlet of the turbo, that bit at the bottom left, is where your intercooler pipework starts. It should end at the throttle body. Somewhere between the outlet of the turbo and your throttle body is where your intercooler goes.
