scotty nm35
$500 fluid flush? Hahahaha.... Matic J is $70 to $80 a bottle, you will need 12L or so. Nulon Synthetic ATF is matic J compatible and is $220 or so for 20L if you look around. Colt357
+1 For Nulon Synthetic ATF. Just had my 40000km service on friday, Oil change + filter($250), A/T trans oil replaced with Nulon($150) and rear diff oil replaced($100). Big difference in change gears with either auto or manually shifting with paddle shifters. gear change is much smoother and faster. froggy88
Unfortunately I dont have the means to do the flush myself. Is what they quoted excessively expensive? Alternatively I can just go buy oil and get my usual mechanic to do the flush but this wont be for a few weeks. The usual price from Nissan for a Matic J flush and replace is around the $160 mark. froggy88
So fluid flush has been done and there is definitely an improvement in the way it changes gears now. In manual mode the 2 > 3 change is still a little harsh but no where near as bad. PN-Mad
Amazing what using the right grade fluid will do. Let's hope, for your sake, no long term damage occurred.
