Here's a few... and relate to fitment in the engine bay, and compatibility with an existing skyline wiring loom.

The DOHC head sits lower than the single cam head.

The DOHC head is setup to use multi-coils, not a distributor like the SOHC head.

Both require a custom intake manifold, but if you go with a 25DET (you can use a greddy plenum) or 26 head you already have a side mount intake manifold.

Don't get too blown away by a power figure. Anything is possible with enough race fuel and boost. This is not a street car engine, and certainly not one built for a skyline.

Awesome engine. You only have to look at the 7 second SOHC VLs to see what the single cammer RB30 can achieve. Having said that the twin cam conversion still has a lot of benefits - for example more low down torque with the VCT running and a better flowing head when unmodified - of course the the 7 sec SOHC cars are no where near standard and as can be seen in the above video the rocker cover has been cut and shut to allow clearance for the much bigger valvetrain residing within. Because of poor maintenance practices and the location of the radiator on the VL the heads on the SOHCs were prone to cracking so if the head has to be changed why not do it with a twin cam head.
