i've connected a big red pilot/(shift) light to the factory on/off pressure switch which is handy as u cant miss it when giving the car a beating

That's the obvious choice ti use a tee piece. but like I said, u need bsp npt is not the right size for the block. Alot of aftermarket stuff is npt cos that's what the yanks use, but the japanes use bsp. It is extremely close but not the same. If you have a search on here you'll find people have had issues with npt fittings.

And just to add, I have both bsp and npt taps, so am completely certain is bsp. The npt tap does start, but after a couple of threads binds up, the bsp tap runs in nicely.

The block (not oil cooler housing) thread for a sensor is BSP, but the RB25 oil pressure sensors that goes into the oil cooler housing is NPT. Here is what I've done with mine:

I've been through all this recently, thinking I would need to make a custom oil manifold to house both sensors. Those are 1/8NPT fittings

Put it this way. you can screw an npt fitting into a bsp. But its not right. If is working for you that's cool, theres nothing to worry about. I have checked the oil cooler hole with my taps and definitely bsp. Nissan wouldnt use 2 different threads, and I'll say it again, nothing jap will have npt threads.

Yeah I thought the same but the two sensors seem to have the same thread. Unless it was very model specific. Didnt really make sense that the block was bsp and the cooler not but the aftermarket sensor screwed into the cooler but not the block. Strange

Perhaps nissan sourced the oil cooler from an aftermarket supplier on certain models. But in the interest of not creating to much confusion here I will agree that it should be bsp
