I was at the Sydney Retro Speedfest at Eastern Creek last weekend, and among the classic cars they had there were some old F1 cars, very cool seeing them out on track.

Was the Lola a Lola-Hart or Lola Ford?

On another note was reading this book last night.

http://www.pitstop.net.au/products/the-v12-engine/

Anyway the section on the 3.5 litre V12's built for F1 before they reverted to 3.0 litre motors was interesting. Turns out Isuzu, HKS, and Nissan all had 3.5 litre V12's. As did Porsche (A complete dog of a thing which some would remember from the Footwork arrows days) and Ford. About the only people to make it work were Honda. And even then it was arguable that with packaging included it wasnt as good as the V10.

I'm not 100% on this, but I'm pretty sure it would be the Hart, given that the Speedfest entry list has it marked as a THL1, and according to wikipedia it was the 1986 THL2 where they changed from Hart to Ford

heya, no real for sale section for motorsport items so wanted to chuck it here if any one is keen. I have a few old Adelaide F1 posters and the first 4 Melb F1 posters for sale.

all except ADL 86 and 90 $50each.

the 86 and 90 $100 each.

the 1990 was the 500th GP

any more details just let me know.

    • Hello everybody. I have no idea where to get a ethanol tester besides online and want to run a e30 mix in my bmw m2. In order for my calculator to work i need to know what ethanol rating the e85 pump is and this is my local station would anyone know or is it negligible to find specifically. Thanks🙂

    • My brother's old Pulsar had approx 10 year old tyres (crappy Zeix). The sidewalls split on all four tyres in the space of a week. I'd be paranoid on 10 year old tyres.
    • I've got 15 year old tyres on a car in my garage, holding air (holding it better than the daily driver does!) and no signs of rotting/cracking/drying out. Oh, and they've only been garaged the last 3. Before that they sat in a couple of different paddocks/yards, and even spent about a week underwater too. However, weather and other environmental factors can really change how quickly they start to dry out and crack.
