sh@un
The Silver Arrows made 2014 their bitch. New records for most 1 | 2 finishes and wins in a season (11 and 16 respectively) plus a total of 1357 points accrued via Mercedes power. Will surely be a season referenced by commentators for many years to come. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435485-formula-one-2014/page/139/#findComment-7431641 Share on other sites
mickey
Records are kind of useless, there's more races in the season and more points on offer than from long ago. It's like movie box office records, inflation guarantees it'll always be broken eventually. 1 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435485-formula-one-2014/page/139/#findComment-7431661 Share on other sites
tweety bird
Good race, the championship was also good. I'm going to hate listening to sky next year, all their homo arse kissing is going to drive me up the wall.. Hamilton won more points in the last race than John Surtees did in 1964 to win the world drivers championship. Kind of tells you where the current nonsense has got to. McLaren won 15 of 16 in 1988. MB 16 of 19. Edited November 25, 2014 by djr81 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435485-formula-one-2014/page/139/#findComment-7432025 Share on other sites
sh@un
So yeah, McLaren still holds onto the highest percentages stat for both the 1-2 finishes and wins in a season.
