Hi guys,

i installed a hks evc 5 today but dont have the user manual..... and im unsure how to use the digital screen and change the measurement values from Kpa to PSI.

i also dont know what the different modes are, how to lock in the max boost and why the b volume knob keeps flashing. if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated or even better i got a copy of a user manual.post-1416-0-82495100-1385423871_thumb.jpg

Ok firstly that is the four, if you google search you can get the manual, I have done it a few time for my five, the knob is flash because it has moved from the last time it was on, turn the dial up or down till it stops, it can't be changed from kpa, 100 kpa is 1 bar is 14.75psi, and if it can and you figure out how let me know so I can change my four

The top button is to access the settings

The second button from top changes it from A to B, if you hold it down it will reset the peak hold,

the third button is scramble but you will need the manual to set that up

The button is on off

Ok found a manual for it. Strange thing is it refers to all the display in PSI..... ETF?

Anyway I was just setting it up and for some reason it won't let me adjust it over 100kpa.

I want to set it at 16psi.....110kpa.

I'm starting to think I should have just bought a cheap one.

The setting is wastgegate plus that number, so on my 32 GTR the wastegate is 10psi + 36 on the controller gives me 15psi 103-105kpa

I have both 4 & 5 and have use a puck load of other ones and I'll tell right the 4 is the easiest one to use, for me it was plug in set base boost and scramble boost, dial in the 2 settings for A and B and done

and FYI, if anyone has bought a second hand EVC 5/6 remember to reset the unit and apply the initial settings or else you'll spend a day and forever trying to get it to work as it takes the initial setup as the base duty cycle/boost required.
