Auto Electrician rang to ask where diagnostic port is.

Can anyone tell me where exactly the port is on a NM35 Stagea?

I just said "have you looked around the driver n passenger foot wells?"

Might be time for a new auto electrician.

That's what I was thinking. Lol. They come highly recommended around town and alot of business gave em a good wrap. Probably just lazy to look.

Hopefully your right.

But as pn-mad said it is driver side.

They reckon they have found a loom of wiring that is corroded really bad near the location of the battery with water pooling. They cutting it out now and going to replace that section and going to keep the old section to show me.

There have been a couple of these lately; it might be worth everyone checking.

A stitch in time; saves nine. ;)

Yup, turn car off remove key, open the fuse box in the drivers side footwell, and stick your hand down there as far as you can. See if you can feel water, or moisture. That will mess up your electrics real quick. I make a habit of clearing the crud from the plenum area, right down to where the drains are in the bottom of the guards. Mud and crud build up over time.

Got the Stagea back from the Auto-Elec yesterday, a big chunk of wiring loom got replaced and everything is running sweet once again.

Taken it for a few drives with no problem.

So great warning for people, make sure you clean out your drainage points regularly because its not worth the problems if you don't.

Good to hear it's sorted, definitely a timely reminder for everyone else.
