the ever beautiful R34 N1's.

Now...you're scaring me.

exceed the limit of the spring rate, the inlet valves will stay open because of boost pressure.   The result is neither pretty nor cheap to fix.

You'd  suggest replacing them at N1 friendly boost levels then? Do you have a recommendation?

I would like to see the dyno graphs when it is done.

No problem.

No I really do like R34 N1's, ball bearing, water cooled, good response and some trick Garrett aerodynamics.

We use Iskenderian valve springs. You can do them with the head on, compressed air works a treat. :cooldance

Yes I like them too.

Do Isky make only one valve spring for the RB26?

Yep, it's a bitch but it can be done. :spcow:

hey sk

you must have a magic wand, i figure u would have to get the engine that high in the engine bay, u would need to remove nearly everything to do it and another 30 mins of work the engine would be on the ground.

actually just thought about it, dropping the front crossmember would probably be easier than pulling the engine.

Dean

Dean, that's exactly right...

Support the engine up from underneath, drop the crossmember, empty the sump and remove it...

More fiddly than having the engine out, but it saves a lot on labour costs.
