Bare Minimum Needed For 350Rwkw On 25 Neo

I know the question has probably been asked time and time again, but I can't find an exact sure fire way to get 350rwkw out of a Neo motor. Unfortunately, there aren't many (if any) GT-T's for sale with big power.

My last import had 360rwkw and nothing would really compare to it, I want to delve back into imports and I'm thinking of buying a GT-T as they can be picked up next to nothing in stock form.

SOO what is necessary to make that particular power figure?

Which turbo
Which manifold
What sized injectors

I like nistune so that's what I'd run with. Is the 25 neo able to produce that much power stock reliably?

Thanks in advance for the advice, inb4 use the search function. I know there are power results threads and what not, I'm just after an easy to follow formula so I can work out my finances prior to purchasing a car.

I run stock manifolds a return flow intercooler , Bosch 1000cc injectors, one 044 a surge, walbro Intank pump, type b poncams, mls head gasket, and studs, gt3076r with a external 32mm turbosmart waste gate welded to exhust housing and z32 afm and nistune ,3" turbo back exhaust , running e85 makes 338rwkw on 17psi has mor in it yet also have water/meth injection hooked up pre turbo but have not turned it on or tuned it to such yet , so 350 is very do able but reliability is always an unknown

reliability isnt an issue... very strong motors but the tune needs to be spot on .

my set up when i was running an internally stock neo for drift was making 360 rwkw all day every day. it was as follows

3076 with .6 rear

850cc injectors

nistune r34 ecu

Garage 7 highmount manifold

stock intake plenumn

3 inch exhaust

FMIC

twin 044 with stock rail modded for twin entry

E85

360rwkw on 18psi, very responsive also. would be perfect for street

No need for an exhaust manifold, or intake for that matter. Most of the stock gear is fine if you stick a large enough turbo on there.

Imo you will need e85, Bosch 1000's, Walbro 460L, return flow cooler, 3 inch hard intake and decent 3 inch exhaust. A standalone ecu and GTX3076 or similar should get you there if you pick good supporting parts.

How long the engine lasts is anyones guess.

Basically this. A turbo the size of a 3076 or similar is required, hypergear have a few good options as well. The standard manifold will be enough. The only other thing I might consider is valve train cos that's pretty stressed north of 280-300 rwkw. Depends how you use it I guess

Mine is for sale, R33 GTST, and it has made a useless 490rwkws (wheel spin in every gear with 275 Micky Thompson ETs), not sure if that is "big powered" enough :rolleyes:

If you've already got R34 then get:

ID 1000 injectors

Adaptronic ecu

Stock manifold with external gate mod or Brae High mount with external gate.

Our high flowed factory turbocharger

E85

That should reach towards 350rwkws.

    • From there, as the manual says....assembly is the reverse of disassembly, no tricks worth mentioning Much better (for me)
    • In my case, the standard wheel I had was in good condition but the buttons had more wear, so I swapped them across from the original wheel from the car. The plastic rear cover is held on by 4 tabs, and once the wiring is removed you can get access to 2 screws on each side the hold the buttons in From there I just swapped the wiring over. What was interesting is the standard style wheel is 2.0kg but the carbon fibre one is 50% heavier at 2.9kg. It even has a weight inside the wheel at the top to make up for some sort of imbalance in the design. weird
    • Once the airbag is off, to remove the steering wheel.... Undo the 2 plugs into the clock spring, and the horn connector from it's clip. Hit the 19mm nut with a rattle gun (preferably) or if you don't' have one, you probably want an assistant to hold the wheel in place while you use a breaker bar to undo the nut Then, screw the nut back on 3 turns, and pull the wheel sharply towards you. If that doesn't work hit it medium force with a rubber mallet on either side, or possible behind if you can get there. If that all fails (it shouldn't!) you might need a steering wheel puller
    • So, to next task....the carbon fibre steering wheel was either an expensive factory option or a chinesium special. Either way, I don't like either the flat bottom or thick ring style, so it had to go So...to remove the steering wheel.... First, disconnect battery negative and stomp on the brake pedal for a few seconds. Then, remove the small circular covers on each side of the wheel's rear surround to uncover the airbag clips. You need to push something like a flat bladed screw driver through, to push the steel clip inwards and pull the side of the airbag forward. Once you've done the easy side, same on the centre console side. You can see the tab you are shooting for circled in red Then, disconnect the horn spade connector and for the yellow airbag plug you need to get something small under the black locking tab to pop it out, then the connector releases......airbag is off  
    • @99RS4just wondering if you ever took photos of the footwell lighting / how you bypassed the controller, im keen to haver footwell lighting come on when I open the doors too
