Wow 6boost and plazma man you must be shooting for some high nubers later on stock manifolds will see you well past 350 rwkw and the upper limit of your turbo, as for cams all you want is type b pon cams , no aftermarket cam gears or anything, just the cams and shim her up ,

It depends on what you want your power curve to look like and how much work you are willing to spend on the install. Generally Tomei poncams are the answer for most applications where a simple drop in is desirable. I don't have a neo but I think Tomei offer a 260 duration (not sure of lift, somewhere around 9.5). 260 duration should give you pretty decent midrange. As you increase duration my understanding is the power curve shifts up the rev range. I think the most desirable application for a street car is medium duration with the highest lift possible without having to modify your head. Tomei poncams (straight drop in) for the rb25 range from 256 (non neo), 260 (neo) to 264 (custom grind) duration, procams have longer duration and higher lift again and require modification to the head, springs etc. to run. Procams are arguably more suitable for a track or street/track setup.

I paid around $750 for my poncams new, obviously there are other brands (HKS, Jun, Crower, Kelford etc.) too, so do a little research and make an informed decision.

I'm no expert, but that is my 2c :)

Thanks for the response, why? Why not... I'm happy to gain some extra hp. Gonna go with the poncams, next step is trying to get some by next Thursday, anyone know who stocks them?

Looks like you have already made some bad choices, and throwing a set of cams at it won't help with your doughy response, it will make it worse no doubt. Are you just chasing numbers?

I agree with Scotty whats wrong with the stock cams ,there are a lot of mods that can be done to a RB25 before you have to change cams unless you have very deep pockets, Cams , good springs , retainers maybe head machining ,port work ,injectors ECU where do you stop and also a lot of patience driving around a car that you struggle to drive. I am not saying not to modify it as most of us do but do what you can without cam changes, what gearbox are you running , what sort of daytime driving , is it a regular track/daily driver.I have been building and racing cars for the last 40 years and some have been an absolute bastard to drive to work in heavy traffic , on the open road absolute magic , around town a pain in the arse
