Got a great example of a Skyline here. First person to own it out of Japan. Always serviced and not driven hard.

Its decent on fuel, kind of its tyres and a joy to live with. However I need something I can put tools in and take down to the beach with a trailer as we are building a beach house (Gf's family). I also need something to tow the boat and my kart. In addition to this I need something that I can chuck wetsuits in the back of and kart parts etc. Thats no life for a Skyline and I can't always use my mates Hilux!

So, the cars up for sale. Heres some specs.

5 Speed manual (same 5 speed box as the R33 GTR apparently)

ATTESA E-TS AWD system (not sure if its the Pro or not, definitely might be!)

Rb25DE Neo engine. 147kW of N/A Goodness. Don't worry there is a surprise coming later in the post..

Cusco coil overs - Don't know much about them as they came on the car when imported. Japan must have very smooth roads as they are set on ridiculously hard, can be softened up but my spines adjusted to it now..

350z touring wheels. I sprayed these black with plastidip. Going to give them another coat soon, maybe a fun bright colour!

The fun part.

I have an ALMOST complete turbo kit. It includes.

  • 2x turbos. Because having a spare is always nice. Ones from an R33 one from an R32. The R32 one should be interesting as it will max out on 8-10psi. You cant go past that on high comp anyway, should come on uber fast. Would be fun.
  • Braided turbo water/oil lines and nice banjos - Overnight parts from Japan.
  • Big F off front mount intercooler
  • Turbosmart type2 BOV
  • Nissan R34 GTT/Mines ECU
  • Turbo manifold to suit
  • Dump pipe

All you need to find is a front pipe ($30) and get some intake piping made up.

I had awesome plans for this car, but my next car will get some love from me in the form of mods. Have decided to get an 88 BJ74 landcruiser (Medium wheel base, fibreglass roof, 3.5L turbo diesel at 97kw). It will do the trick with pulling stuff and ill be able to throw things in it. The gf's uncle has one I can pick up cheap but it needs some work. Time to sell the Skyline to fund it!

Before sale the car will have a new windscreen put in as well as a good service. My uncle used to be a mechanic (Now retired) so we will go over the car with a fine tooth comb and make sure everything's in A1 condition for the new owner! Will be stoked to see the car get picked up by someone who wants to turn it into a real weapon. Maybe I can convince you to have a drive later down the track! :P

There is a few bad points on the car. Nothing too big.

  • Speeky front right suspension. Took it too pedders and they said the suspension is fine just one of the bushes is a little dry and is squeeky. Can change the bush but they said they all looked fine and its probably just due to sitting in the docks for a long period of time on import.
  • Front lip has a small chunk taken out of it. Remember this lip is an option thats not on many skylines. Makes the N/A look less dorky (lets face it, most N/A's have no front or rear lip and look a little silly haha). It's about the size of a tennis ball. I'm more than happy to repair this at home as i've had a bit of experience patching up formula vees and formula fords when I wanted to be Michael Schumacher.
  • A few small hail dents on the car. Had a quote from a paint-less dent removalist. He said a 2 or 3 hundred to get them all out without needing a respray. They are very minor and never bothered me. Being a uni student I just sucked it up and lived with it.

PLEASE NOTE WHEELS ARE DEFINITELY NOT CHROME ANYMORE! :P

I'm looking for $8000 for it as is. Well with a new windscreen (current one was chipped but it cracked the other day) as well a some servicing. Comes with rego to mid next year but no RWC. More than happy for you to take your time getting a RWC. Not too fussed.

P.S This price includes all the turbo gear listed.

    • Is rebuilding it even a thing? Where would the shop find parts for it? I looked at some off these local online stores for my r34 and suprisingly they had brand new aftetmarket ones for $600-800 I think. I guess r32 might be a bit tougher.
    • I remember the days when E85 was priced in according to the $ per km outcome. Sure E85 was about 35% cheaper, but you also lost about 35% range... now it's fked..
    • They do. The pale yellow translucent ones from Japan were .... I dunno. Useless? Whiteline and SuperPro are probably fairly similar. There's bound to be a range of different hardnesses amongst the dozens of options on the market. The simple fact is that the pineapples don't get up inside the bush at all. They just sort of exist in the space between the washer/bracket and the subframe's bush outer tube, and...exert a bit of force between them? Or something like that. I'm sure that with enough provocation, they will simply allow one to move wrt the other.
    • I'm not sure they came in different hardnesses? Going from memory only - I had set them up in the balanced setup. I also have poly bushes, so I have both poly bushes and pineapples. This is what my memory tells me at least. I'll have to take a look under there to be sure. The tramp was so bad that I managed to eject/kill a diff bushing, so those I know are stock. The tramp is bad enough that you are 200% sure you are doing severe damage to the car. It's not just chirping or vibration, it feels like you're hitting a speed hump/kerb 10 times a second. The issue has persisted between subframes! (I went from Hicas to non hicas subframe and replaced every bush a few years ago now) so I'm entirely lost. Every arm is factory.
    • Can recommend the Frenchys kit, been using it 2 years now with no issue, very happy with it.  Only thing for me was upgrading the thermo fan but I am super fussy on cooling.   Also interested in electric AC, partly for boot mount to have a clean bay and partly would love the idea of cooling off the car before i get in. The battery setup to do that might be tricky / expensive though.  Found this an interesting watch.
